1. What HexBites is

HexBites is a web platform for digital loyalty programs for businesses. It lets you create stamp or points cards that the business’s customers collect by scanning a QR code, with no app to install.

2. Plans and pricing

The service is contracted on a monthly basis. The current plans and their prices are published on the home page. Each plan’s limits (programs, customers, team members and sends) are applied automatically.

If a business goes over the limits of its plan, its data and its operation are not interrupted: we tell them and offer the plan that fits.

3. Payments

Payments from outside Ecuador are processed through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record and handles any taxes due in the buyer’s country. Payments from within Ecuador are processed through PayPhone.

In neither case does HexBites store card numbers. With Lemon Squeezy, payment details never pass through HexBites at any point; PayPhone provides only an encrypted identifier from which the card details cannot be reconstructed.

If the business authorises automatic charging, that identifier is used to charge the monthly fee on the agreed billing date. The authorisation is given expressly at the time of payment and is recorded with its date. It can be withdrawn at any time from the dashboard, at no cost.

4. Missed payment

If a monthly payment is not made on the billing date, the account is not suspended automatically: the business keeps operating and its customers keep collecting. HexBites will get in touch to bring the payment up to date and, if it remains unpaid, may pause the account with prior notice. The business’s data is kept during the pause.

5. Cancellation

The business may cancel at any time by writing to HexBites. The service continues until the end of the paid period. There are no refunds for partial periods and no penalties for cancelling.

6. Data

End-customer data belongs to the business that collected it. HexBites processes it solely to provide the service and does not sell it or pass it on to third parties. On cancellation, the business may request the export or the deletion of its data.
